Book #1: The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey

This book is extremely popular – and for a good reason. It’s extremely accessible and easy to incorporate these strategies into your own life, no matter where you are or what you’re doing.

Rather than teach you how to get specific things done, Covey teaches an entire methodology around being productive in both life and work. Reading this will help you stay more on track and allow you to focus on what’s really important.

I really love how it ignores popular self-help trends and instead really focuses on things that can apply to anyone in any position. There’s also an interactive edition available that goes a step further in helping you apply the material to your own life.

Book #2: You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero

You Are a Badass is about so much more than productivity, AND it’s sure to help you get stuff done too! The book is all about living life to the fullest each and every day by eliminating the self-doubt that so often holds us back in life and business. Every chapter is a fun quick read and Sincero never has that “better than you” tone that many self-help books seem to take on.

After reading this book, you won’t just have new habits – you will have the formula to help you embrace your everyday life. The exercises in the various chapters will help you apply the information to your own situation. Plus, the author’s anecdotes will have you laughing the whole time.

Book #3: #GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso

Sometimes, we need a little inspiration to get things done and #GIRLBOSS delivers that and so much more. Amoruso was never a typical student and she definitely took an unconventional path to get where she is today. In her story, she talks about overcoming all kinds of obstacles and working past the naysayers, even when no one believed in her.

Reading this is a great reminder that you don’t need to do everything the “right” way to find success. And there’s a lot to learn from her journey that you can apply to your own.
